Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Paivio Labs. By using the service you agree to them. They are written to be read, so please do.

The service

Paivio Labs is a marketplace for study decks. Publishers upload decks, we review and host them, and users install them into the Paivio study app with one click.

Accounts

Your Paivio Labs account is shared with the Paivio app. One sign-in covers both services. You are responsible for activity under your account.

Publisher terms

Ownership and license

You keep ownership of the decks you upload. By publishing a deck you grant Paivio Labs a license to host that deck and distribute it to users who install it. This license ends for new installs when the deck is delisted or removed.

Your responsibilities

You must have the rights to everything in the decks you upload, including card text, images, and audio. Do not upload content that infringes someone else's copyright or contains personal information about others.

Review and removal

Decks are reviewed and approved before they appear publicly. We may reject a submission, and we may delist a published deck at any time, for example if it violates these terms or we receive a credible rights complaint.

User terms

Decks you install are for your personal study. Marketplace content is created by independent publishers and may contain errors. Nothing on Paivio Labs is medical, legal, or academic advice, and you should verify important information against primary sources.

Pricing

Paivio Labs is free during beta. If we introduce pricing in the future, we will give notice before any charge applies to you.

Acceptable use

Do not abuse the service. That includes scraping the marketplace, attempting to bypass install grants or access controls, uploading malware or illegal content, and interfering with other users.

Termination

You can stop using Paivio Labs at any time and request account deletion. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Limitation of liability

The service is provided as is, without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paivio Labs is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost data, or lost profits arising from your use of the service.
